About Me

  Jack Leiderman, LCSW-C is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in psychotherapy for adults.  He maintains a private practice in Rockville, Maryland

Mr. Leiderman has over twenty-five years experience as a psychotherapist, providing individual, group, couples, and family therapy. Additionally, he has significant administrative experience both as a clinical supervisor of other mental health professionals, and as the director of several large mental health clinics serving the public in Montgomery County, Maryland.   His undergraduate work was done at the University of Chicago and the University of Maryland, and his graduate degree is from the University of Maryland School of Social Work and Community Planning.  His professional experience includes:

Mr. Leiderman has longstanding expertise and a sub-specialty in the treatment of psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder.

Mr. Leiderman is an interactive, solution-focused therapist. His therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges or psychiatric illness.  He integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion, understanding, warmth and humor, he works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain their goals of recovery and personal growth.

He is licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia, and is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).

Mr. Leiderman has a strong belief in citizen involvement in civic affairs, and in volunteering to serve his community.  Long active in local civic issues, he recently completed a term on the City of Rockville's Planning Commission, where he worked to improve the quality of life of his community.
